Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when a customer contacts or instructs Need 4 Speed Tuning Automotive for ECU tuning, TCU tuning, vehicle diagnostics, auto electronics, dash or mileage calibration, immobiliser work, airbag reset, key programming, AdBlue, EGR, DPF or related automotive services.

1. Customer authority

The person requesting work confirms that they are the vehicle owner or have permission from the owner to instruct work on the vehicle. Proof of identity, ownership or authority may be requested before certain services are carried out.

2. Diagnostics and estimates

Diagnostic findings, quotes and timeframes are based on the information available at the time. Further faults may be found once testing begins. No repair outcome can be guaranteed until the vehicle has been inspected and the issue has been confirmed.

3. Bookings, access and vehicle condition

Customers should provide accurate vehicle information, fault symptoms and history of previous repairs or modifications. The vehicle should be safe, accessible and suitable for inspection. Existing mechanical, electrical or software issues may affect the result of diagnostic, tuning or calibration work.

4. ECU tuning and software work

Performance tuning, ECU software changes and TCU software work can affect vehicle behaviour, driveability, emissions, fuel economy, component wear, manufacturer warranty and insurance. Customers are responsible for confirming that any modification is suitable for the vehicle, intended use, insurer requirements and applicable road-use obligations.

5. Dash, mileage and calibration services

Dashboard, cluster and mileage-related calibration services must be requested and used lawfully. Customers are responsible for ensuring mileage records are accurate, transparent and not used to misrepresent a vehicle's history, value or condition.

6. Emissions-related systems

AdBlue, EGR, DPF and emissions-system work must be used responsibly and in line with UK road-use requirements. The business may explain available diagnostic and repair options, but customers remain responsible for the lawful use of the vehicle on public roads.

7. No guarantee of fault removal without inspection

Warning lights, limp mode, no-start faults, electrical faults and module issues can have multiple causes. Fault codes are diagnostic indicators and do not always identify a single failed part. A successful repair may require staged testing, parts replacement, wiring checks, software work or further investigation.

8. Liability

The business is not responsible for faults caused by pre-existing wear, previous repairs, hidden damage, incorrect information supplied by the customer, third-party parts, unauthorised modifications or issues outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.

9. Payment and collection

Payment terms, deposits, diagnostic charges, parts costs and collection arrangements should be confirmed before work is carried out. Vehicles may be released once agreed charges have been paid, unless different written arrangements have been made.

10. Updates to these terms

These terms may be updated as services, booking processes or legal requirements change. The latest version should be made available on the website.
